J12 DAY

J12 DAY - AI- Conference Visuals

Client: J12
Art Direction: Naughty Society
Motion & AI Design: Nicole Chufi

Working alongside NaughtySociety - I was brought in to execture the visuals as part of the production team of J12 Day @Epicenter Stockholm.

This project was unique in a way that used of AI techniques that were barely seen in live events (few months later a lot of things changed, the technology changed and we keep changing with it).

The visual concept explored the energy and information traveling through neural pathways, serving as a metaphor for AI’s role in advancing humanity. We utilized TouchDesigner and the StableDiffusion API to create frame-by-frame visuals that invite deeper reflections on the synergy between technology and human experience.

J12 day is an event that bring leaders to underscore the transformative impact of AI in the new era.

Technicalities
The visuals were done in TouchDesigner through a StableDiffusion API model.

Learnings
  • Control Over AI Outputs:  unpredictability of AI-generated results. By learning to "tame" AI, I addressed the challenge of ensuring that the outputs align with your creative vision or client expectations.
  • Bridging Aesthetics: Training models to achieve specific aesthetics allows you to create visuals that resonate with both your artistic style and the needs of clients. This helps in achieving a harmonious balance between technology and artistry.
  • Innovating Live Events: Utilizing new AI techniques in live events addresses the need for  engaging experiences that capture audience attention and enhance storytelling through visuals.
  • Understanding Human-AI Collaboration: By exploring the relationship between humans and AI, I tackled the broader philosophical and practical questions surrounding technology's role in creative processes, fostering dialogue about its implications.
