CONCEPT
R.A.W (real + artificial wired) is an audiovisual piece by Nicole Chufi & Sophia Ammouri and explores the birth of a Superintelligence co-created by humans and artificial intelligence.

The film emphasizes the internal struggle and potential harmony between human intuition and artificial intelligence provoking thoughs and relflections in the viewer on their role of Human as AI creator as well as blurry the lines between what is real and what is artificial.

The concept was developed thinking about the changes power dynamics changes (between Humans and AI), and discussion in loss of Humanity, identity, and else.
We also researched and got inspired about deeper discussion in the biotechnology space, artificial wombs, gene editing, what legal rights and control would Hybrids have? Would they suffer prejudice?

With this short film, we wanted to highlight the existential and philosophical aspects of the creative journey and the essential human element that brings meaning to data and technology.

ART DIRECTION

Our goal was to blur the boundaries between the Human and the Artificial, even in how the work was presented. Many of the visuals combined 3D-rendered scenes with AI-generated ones, making it nearly impossible to distinguish between the two.

We also collaborated with a choreographer to depict the evolution of a hybrid being. Her performance was filmed live, and we transformed the footage into AI-generated sequences. We challenged her with the question: "How would you move if you had a human body but an artificial mind?"
